1.Do any toolbar customization (i.e remove back/forward button)

Link hovers in location bar stops working.

I can't reproduce on Vista or OS X 10.5.  Could you try in a new profile, and if you can still reproduce there, be very precise in your steps to reproduce?

I can't reproduce this on a new profile, but I can on my current profile in safe-mode. Very odd.

Other people have reported this issue as well in MozillaZine, so there must be *something* wrong here (or we both had an extension that could trigger this).

Will try to find a reliable STR.

1. Any errors in the Error Console for the affected profile?

2. I wonder if it's localstore.rdf-related.  In your affected profile, try deleting localstore.rdf (after backing it up of course) and restarting Firefox.

This is a simpler issue than I thought.

STR:
1-Highlight the Awesomebar
2-Open the customize toolbar palette
3-Close the customize toolbar palette
4-Hover a link

This happens because the Awesomebar is still focused (but not highlighted) after doing any toolbar customization. It should either continue highlighted so you can unfocus it by clicking anywhere on the page or it should automatically be unfocused when customizing toolbars. Another way of fixing this is by fixing bug 597841.

Thanks.  I can reproduce on Windows Vista but not OS X.  The real problem here then is that toolbar customization breaks focus in the location bar.  The location bar kind of has focus afterward and kind of doesn't.  Morphing bug accordingly.
