Hi,

today, Camino 2.1a1pre causes a lot of Console-Spamming and high CPU-usage even if Camino was quit.

Version 2.1a1pre (1.9.2.11pre 20100927001830)
MacOS 10.6.4

***a screencast and console-log follows...***

Thanks and regards
Mehmet

That's definitely the "Flash spamming console in minimized windows" bug. How long after quit did the "high CPU usage" persist, and what time, relative to the last entry in that console log, was Camino actually quit? The console spamming associated with bug 541897 is bad enough that it could conceivably take a minute or two for all the messages to finish appearing.

The workaround, of course, is not to minimize windows containing Flash.

This is very likely a dupe, but I'll wait to mark it as such until we have a little more detail.

cl
I had a window open, but not minimized in the dock, with some tabs in it. Not really sure, but I think, there was finished youtube-video in a background tab.

The spamming stopped, after I quit the Console.app. (Camino was already closed - perhaps 20 seconds.)

You didn't hide Camino (Cmd H) while there was some Flash active, did you ?

Hiding Camino is enough for me to trigger the console spam.

No, I didn't hide the Camino-Window in this case. (I use CMD-H very rare).
Mehmet,
Now that bug 541897 is fixed, can you still reproduce this?
(use the latest nightly builds of 2.0.6pre or 2.1a1pre to test)
Hi Philippe,

I have downloaded the latest 2.1 nightly, now.

I will test it for a while and you will hear from me in the next days.
Looks good. Only the following 2 messages I have seen in the console until now:

08.11.10 22:25:20
Camino[59781]	*** WARNING: Method runModalForWindow:relativeToWindow: in class NSApplication is deprecated. It will be removed in a future release and should no longer be used.

08.11.10 22:25:20
Camino[59781]	*** WARNING: Method beginModalSessionForWindow:relativeToWindow: in class NSApplication is deprecated. It will be removed in a future release and should no longer be used.
ok, Let's dupe this to bug 541897.

those two warnings are unrelated. (and I though we had a bug on those ?)
