Details

Steps to Reproduce --------------------------------------- 1. Update you minefield. Version released in 02/10/2010 2. 3. What should have happened: --------------------------------------- What actually happened: ---------------------------------------- Crash after inicialization.
I confirm this. Since today's nightly Firefox crashes upon loading any website more complex than http://blog.fefe.de/, and when trying to access the Addons Manager. I tried creating a new profile, running safe mode, manually disabling any extensions and plugins, and I reinstalled the current nightly over the updated installation, all to no avail. Running Windows 2008 x64 and Minefield x64. Interestingly enough, my out-of-date 32-bit Minefield (4.0b6pre, 2010-09-08) gives me a "The operation can not be completed because of an internal failure. A secure network communication has not been cleaned up correctly." error upon start-up with my normal profile and does nothing but show me a blank tab when I try to access any URL at all. That error message did apparently show up the first time the updated x64 Minefield was launched today (my fiancée started it and she cannot remember the message with confidence) but I cannot reproduce it.
Apparently all stored passwords and cookie rules have been wiped from my profile. I use the Weave/Sync extension. acr2d, do you use that one, too?
I have the same problem with 2nd Oct and 3rd Oct versions of Minefield x64 for Windows.
windows 7 x64 - minefield x64 build in 03/10/2010 also with the same problem.
Hardware: x86 → x86_64
Disregard #2, passwords are still there. Apparently a random glitch. Please verify whether Minefield will launch and not crash when passing "about:blank" or the URL of any plain html website (no JS, no images, no CSS; eg. "http://blog.fefe.de") as launch parameter. The pushlog for the last three days[1] lists various changes to the JS engine on Oct. 1st. One other bug came up that looks to me like a possible suspect: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=601016 Could someone more knowledgeable please have a look?
