+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #601495 +++ Bug 601495 disabled Windows trunk nightly updates until we fix bug 601469. Obviously we need to reenable updates when appropriate, this bug tracks doing so.

The mar file under latest-trunk has the fix and I verified that it is able to apply updates http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/ So, it should be safe to turn updates back on.

chmod'ed back to 755.

Aki, it appears that even though the latest builds located in latest-trunk are fine http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/ They aren't the ones that are advertised. :( Please disable the updates again.

chmod'ed 700 in the hopes that the new nightlies spinning will be able to upload snippets, and that this will disable updates.

Looks fine. They should be re-enabled when the snippet points to a build that has the fix from bug 601469

Has the 04 nightly come out yet, with the updates pointing to that?

As you can see here: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2010-10-04-04-mozilla-central/ the nightly for win32 and the .mar file are there - just that users are being told by the updater that they are already up to date.

Not fixed - patch apply failed.

If you get a patch apply failed you will need to download / install the latest nightly build from. The build you are using has a bug (specifically Bug 601469) that breaks the updater http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/ I verified all is well by taking the 10/1 build, updating it, and then verified that the updated build (build id 20101004041645) can download / apply updates.
