Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b7pre) Gecko/20101006 Firefox/4.0b7pre After automatic updates for one or more add-ons have been applied a notification could give instructions how to disable automatic updates. Probably that should only appear once. That's a proposal from Mike on bug 511529. Not sure if we want that. But filing the bug to get an official statement.
Summary: Notify users of pending automatic add-on updates if the browser hasn't been closed for over 24 hours → Show a post-update notification for add-ons which describes how to disable automatic updates
>After automatic updates for one or more add-ons have been applied a >notification could give instructions how to disable automatic updates. While users should always have control over the update behavior, from both a security and usability perspective we don't want to actively encourage users to disable automatic updates.
