This test failed twice on Windows back when this bug was filed, and then it went over 6 months without failing, and now all of a sudden it fails 6 times in one day (all on the same platform, Fedora12 opt).

I suspect that either a checkin or a machine config tweak in the past 24 hours has affected this test's behavior.
