User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.2; WOW64; rv:2.0b8pre) Gecko/20101016 Firefox/4.0b8pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.2; WOW64; rv:2.0b8pre) Gecko/20101016 Firefox/4.0b8pre The installer for 64 bit builds errors out with the message "Sorry, Minefield can't be installed. This version of Minefield requires Microsoft Windows Vista x64 or newer." Actual compatibility issue? Or did somebody just overlook Server 2k3 and XP64? I'm guessing the builds will run just fine if the installer were designed to allow it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run "firefox-4.0b8pre.en-US.win64-x86_64.installer.exe" 2. (this space left intentionally blank) Actual Results: Firefox x64 failed to install. Expected Results: Firefox x64 should install and work fine! (well, as fine as nightly builds work...) I am aware of google and how to use it. I can't find any info on this.
Whether or not Firefox x64 will be supported on Windows 2003 or Windows XP hasn't been finalized as of yet. When the x64 support was added to the installer it was decided to only support Windows Vista and above since we test on Windows 2008 server which is equivalent to Window Vista.

Thank you! I searched high and low and couldn't find the right bug thread! This helps. App seems to run (as well as nightly build do!) despite the installer not working. Thank you again.
