My apologies if I have missed seeing how to do this, but I have been looking on and off for several weeks now.  At the very least, it's not obvious.

It appears to me that Tasks and Events are treated as fully independent entities.  As a user of TB, I would expect that Tasks (especially those with start and/or end dates) could optionally be displayed in Calendar - it is a much more intuitive timeline display than a simple list of Tasks in a window separate from the calendar display.

Already possible. Tasks with start and due date will be displayed in calendar if you enable the menu option View > Calendar > Current View > Show Tasks in Calendar.

The Current View option has always been greyed out (and inactive) for me.  But I just tried and found out that if the Calendar is the foreground window, then Current View is enabled.

However, if you have a task that has a start and end separated by 90 days (e.g. a tax return!), then the task is shown 91 times.  Pretty horrid in my opinion - but I am coming from a platform, where tasks are moved daily until you "complete" them - going red once the due date has been passed.  Oh well!  A different platform always takes time to adjust to.
