Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv71; rv2.0b8pre) Gecko/20101018 Firefox/4.0b8pre Fennec/4.0b2pre

1. place device in landscape mode
2. close the hardware keyboard
3. go to url http://people.mozilla.com/~nhirata/html_tp/formsninput.html
4. click in a textbox and type.
5. hit return or execute

Expected: fast response like in portrait view
Actual: slow/no response.

Note:
1. seems to only be in landscape mode on the android
2. tested on Droid 2, Nexus 1

The issue is still reproducing on:
Build id : Mozilla/5.0 (Maemo;Linux armv7l;rv:2.0b13pre)Gecko/201100314
Firefox/4.0b13pre Fennec /4.0b6pre
Device: Sony Ericsson Xperia X10
OS: Android 2.1 update 1

I go to www.mozilla.org then I tapped on the website favicon > Find In Page. I put the device in landscape mode and after I typed "mozilla" in the search field. Search and Return buttons are not working at all.

Can you still reproduce this in the latest nightly?
I might not understand the issue though.
Is this about full-screen IME mode? What software keyboard was used?

I'm still able to reproduce the issue mentioned in c#2. As you said, it's about full-screen IME mode (Android Keyboard). Imo, when return (search) key is tapped, the VKb should be dismissed. Otherwise user should dismiss manually the VKb by hitting the device Back button and only after that to start finding the desired search criteria.
