I noticed from the bug no 23679 that you are finally developing
support for MS NTLM authentication. Please include also
support for NTLM proxy authentication. Please include support
for NTLM & NTLM proxy authentication to all platforms (especially Linux), not
only MS.
This would make Mozilla/Netscape finally work with the
not so good but widely used M$ Proxy Server.

It may be hard to realise at Netscape, but the lack of
NTLM authentication support has been one of the major
reasons to switch from Netscape to MSIE
in many corporate environments.
Many security administrators are happy with the fact that
NTLM does not send the password in clear text.
Many end users are happy because of the single sign-on
that NTLM provides (they are not prompted for password
when accessing the web)
