Asking PSM to remember password causes freeze

Details
I have PSM set to encrypt my password file information. There are no saved
passwords and every time I tell it to remember a password, I get one or two PSM
processes that take 100% of the CPU and never complete.
I seem to have problems like this every time I have to remove .mozilla until I
perform some magic combination of turning off encryption, turning off password
collection and then re-enabling everything in the right order, often with
quitting mozilla several times.
I'm running the version of PSM you get by Debug->Install PSM

Eric, try PSM 1.4. Install PSM from Debug, Install PSM, then overwrite the psm
directory with this one. www.concentric.net/~unruh/linux-psm1.4.zip

This is even worse. For starters, if I go to Tasks->Privacy & Security->PSM, the
entire X server locks up and I have to break out to a shell and kill mozilla-bin
to get it back.
It freezes mozilla, but not X if I try to turn on encryption (with no passwords
in the list).

Looks like a dupe of bug 58417, which has been release noted. "Mac and Linux. To
avoid a crash before encrypting your stored passwords for the first time,
select Tasks>Privacy and Security>Password Manager>Change Personal Security
Password and setup a new password.
