This problem applies to Thunderbird as well.
Suppose I have several tabs open and am browsing in the first tab.
I click on open link in new tab, then click on the new tab to view the information.
I then click close on that tab.
Firefox seems to display the tab to the right of the one I closed.
The behaviour that I would like to see is that the last tab I was looking at before closing the currently open tab is shown.
E.g., if I have a list of search results in tab one, open a link in a new tab, then close that new tab, I really really want to see the search results again, not something that happened to be to the right.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open several tabs
2. do a search in first tab
3. invoke open link in new tab on a link
4. switch to the newly opened tab
5. close newly opened tab
Actual Results:
Tab to the right of the closed tab became the foreground tab
Expected Results:
Tab1 should be the foreground tab
All tabbed versions of Firefox and Thunderbird
