61248 - iPlanet's PSM page refuses to download PSM to M18; Install Components dialog comes up empty

Half of the time, this happens:

I searched drive C: on my Acer TravelMate 721TX laptop, with 64 MB of RAM and
the original Windows 98 with IE 5.5 (which I keep around for Windows Update and
https) and the latest service packs and critical updates, for the file psm.exe;
file not found. According to the instructions at
http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/psm/psm-mozilla/index.html, this is a good
thing. I pull up the page in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; m18)
Gecko/20001010 and click "Install Netscape PSM for Windows". The "install
components" dialog pops up with an empty list of components to install. Clicking
OK or Cancel brings up a new blank window.


And the other half of the time, this happens:

The connection to docs.iplanet.com timed out.


Should I have downloaded the latest nightly build over my 14.4 kbps modem before
reporting this bug?

Worksforme. Downloading the latest nightly build should work for you. Also, 
consider springing for a 56K modem.
