Build Identifier: Firefox 4 beta 7 Mac OS X 10.6.5

Hello,

with the update from Firefox 4 beta 6 to beta 7 on Mac OS X the Adobe Flash Plugin is not working anymore and no flash (e.g. youtube.com) works with beta 7.
The is reported multiple time on the URL above.
Reinstalling the plugin doesn't help

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. use firefox 4 beta 7 on Mac OS X
2. install Adobe Flash
3. try using flash on youtube.com
Actual Results:
no flash working
(only html5 content with webm)
Noel: Which version of flash are you using? Also if you were using one of the Flash versions from labs.adoble.com, make sure you run the uninstaller from the Adobe site.
Thx for your hint.
Using the released Flash 10.1 version results in the described problem.
Uninstalling and installing 10.2 (64beta) beta results in working flash with Firefox 4 beta 7.
Maybe this needs to be mentioned somewhere when upgrading or flash 10.1 (because its not a beta) should work.
Removing 64 bit Flash (Flash version 10.2 "square" from labs.adobe.com) and reinstalling does not fix on my system (Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b7) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b7 ID:20101104131842).

YouTube videos for example will NOT play. Playback suffers from severe lag, blocking, video artifacts, and typically appears as a frozen frame with small sections that erratically update. Sound is fine, but video is not. However, in full screen mode the videos play just fine with the caveat that video quality appears to be lower than expected. Same videos have no apparent playback issues in Safari, and same version of Flash was installed with no problems in Fx4b6, so issue does not appear to be a bug in the plugin itself.

Not sure why video would be MORE prone to lag/blocking in small view but play fine in full-screen unless there is some conflict between Flash and Firefox 4b7 UI chrome overlay.
Additional comment; if confirmed this bug should be changed to higher importance level and listed as potentially blocking final release of Fx 4. Flash may not be the future of online video but it is a large part of the present - upgrading to a new browser and losing Flash playback is going to be seen as a major regression by end users.
I have the exact same problem as Joshua, as soon as I go to youtube to watch a video (using either the latest stable Flash release or Flash square) playback suffers from lag and I have the same small square in the center that keeps up occasionally. Sound is fine. Full screen is the only way I can watch videos.

Youtube videos that are embedded in other websites play fine which suggest its a conflict with youtube itself?

I have a late 08 iMac with 10.6 using Firefox 4.0b7
I had a similar issue. Youtube didn't work at all with Flash Square (preview 2) but works now that I downgraded to latest Flash version. No sure which component is to blame. Before downgrading the entire Mac froze daily. Hasn't happened since. Those two really don't get along.

OSX 10.6.5 (64 bit mode), FF 4b7 (64 bit)
I can confirm that.
Even though I did actually try uninstalling/reinstalling quite a few times.
Uninstalling Flash Square(p2) using the uninstaller from adobe labs and then installing regular flash player 10 (latest) seems to have fixed all my youtube woes.
Thanks Mitchell :)
