User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.7 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/7.0.517.44 Safari/534.7
Build Identifier: 4.0b7
Since updating to 4.0b7 from b6, I've been experiencing a number of crashes. The crash reports I've submitted are all in different places; I've hooked in with a debugger a few times to see the msg "out of memory", and the virtual memory size is at 2GB.
I haven't counted, but I would estimate that I have about 60-80 tabs loaded across 15 windows. If I can get past the first minute or two of loading, I can usually go through several hours of browsing without crashing. When restoring after a crash however, it will almost always crash again if I don't make an effort to stop some sites from loading.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a lot of image heavy websites.
Actual Results:
Browser crashes.
Expected Results:
Browser does not crash.

Please provide a crash id or stacktrace ->
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report
Does the crash still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode?

How about with a new, empty profile?

Here's the only crash id I've found that will load for me:
http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-69034dc0-a040-422c-87a2-464c22101116
Safe Mode: No. It runs up to about 1.2GB of virtual memory alloced and then sits around there.
New, almost empty profile: I copied over sessionstore.js from my profile to the new one, and it exhibited the same behavior. I haven't had time yet to try to reproduce it with a fresh sessionstore, but I'll see if I can produce one free of personal information to share.

I was able to put together this session which will usually crash for me on restore. It's not 100% reliable though; it helps if you open a few more pages while it's loading everything else.
it's a null pointer access, but we don't have symbols for your build. sorry.

There's this one as well:

My crashes have been resolved, thanks to the resolution of bug 556382. But I'm marking this as a duplicate of 598466 since that's more closely related to what I was actually complaining about.
