apparently horizontal scrolling doesn't work for me with my touchpad but works fine using the arrow keys.

and please make smooth scroll smoother
horizontal scrolling works fine with my synaptics touchpad.
This is a 100% touchpad driver bug. Do you use a alps based touchpad (bug 202615) ?
yep, I use Alps Dell Touchpad version 7.4.102.104 on my dell laptop
thanks, i will mark this as dupe of bug 202615.
The issue itself will or better can't be fixed on our side and ALPS already released a driver that fixed the problem but Dell doesn't provide the update..
