We are transitioning the LDAP SDKs from cvs to hg. Please can you create an empty repository as follows:

Location: http://hg.mozilla.org/ldap-sdks/
Description: Development repository for the LDAP SDKs
Commit Access Level: Level 3

We've chosen Level 3 as Thunderbird & SeaMonkey will be pulling this directly into what they build, so Level 3 fits most appropriately.

Does this have to be a top-level repo? Can't it live elsewhere within hg?

After chatting on irc, it seems that http://hg.mozilla.org/projects/ldap-sdks/ would be the slightly better place.

Give me a day to confirm that this is ok with the interested parties.

http://hg.mozilla.org/projects/ seems to host (mostly) temporary "branches", doesn't it?
I don't know what is worse with having ldap-sdks/ as a top level repo., but given the current "Repository Layout", that's where I would expect it to live.

That said, maybe I'm just missing some explanation.
Anyway, I'll be happy when it's in Hg, wherever that will be ;->

I don't think it hurts to extend that definition.

It was commented over irc that only really important stuff should go at the top level. I'm not convinced that ldap-sdks falls into that definition. I suspect things like venkman/chatzilla etc would have also been moved elsewhere had the policy been in place at the time when they were created.
