User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b7) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b7 SAP web portal is giving error message saying, Not supported browser for firefox 4 beta 7 Reproducible: Always
Setting up new string: general.useragent.override with value Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 Works fine
(In reply to comment #1) > Setting up new string: > general.useragent.override with value Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; > en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 That will reset the user agent string on every site. If you only want to spoof it to make SAP work you could use an addon like this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/uacontrol/

This bug was reported using a pre-release version of Firefox 4. Now that Firefox 4.0.1 final has been released, can you please update and retest your bug? A fresh profile would be a good starting place to test, http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles. If you continue to see the issue, can you please update this bug with your results? I believe this is not a rendering bug but rather a stale browser/version check on the SAP server. In other words, there is nothing that Firefox can do to fix it.

We know SAP works on Firefox now.
