I can see that this problem has been discussed since 2002 but it doesn't seem it has been solved. If the problem is caused by a bug in Adobe flash player as some seem to believe (others don't), there is a serious need for inter-project collaboration. It can not be tolerated longer that this problem is ignored. It causes problems in many production environments all across the world.
The problem description is simple: When printing a page with flash elements in it, the respective space stays blank on the printout, if the same is done with IE, the flash movies/charts are being printed correctly.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to youtube or any other page containing a flash movie
2. print the page to freePDF or any other printer

I just confirmed that this is still a problem with FireFox 6.0.
I would like to echo Markus' comment - it's astonishing that this has remained unresolved for so long.
It's the single reason why I have to recommend to my 150 users to use IE instead of Firefox (and that really sticks in my throat).
If you are ignoring this because "what's the point of trying to print a movie?" then please think again - many packages (e.g., FusionCharts) develop dynamic content as Flash movies - IE is capable of printing these pages.
