I couldn't repro the issue locally on a 10.5 machine we have here. I think the next step is for me to get access to one of the slaves on which the problem is happening to try to do a local build and run the test there. Setting the severity to blocker since this basically keeps mozilla-central closed until the situation is resolved.

ehsan has talos-r3-leopard-049, and needs a 10.5 build machine too
