We need to add some temporary redirects to the mobile SUMO page in bug 616533.

(In reply to bug 616533 comment 7) > Do you know exactly which destinations we want to redirect? I figure the > default in-product URL for mobile devices: > > /1/mobile/%VERSION%/%PLATFORM%/%LOCALE%/ Yes, this seems about right, though we typically add a slug at the end, too, so you probably want: http://support.mozilla.com/1/mobile/%VERSION%/%PLATFORM%/%LOCALE%/firefox-help to point to the Firefox Mobile Help landing page (and in this case this should obviously point to the small screen version of it). In the future, if we wanted to do other in-product links from Mobile, we'd use other slugs, e.g. http://support.mozilla.com/1/mobile/%VERSION%/%PLATFORM%/%LOCALE%/prefs-general and so on.

This should send in-product requests for the support home from mobile platforms to mozilla.com/m/support/ (which is a 404 at the moment). Examples of the sort of URLs that should be redirected are: /1/mobile/4.0/android/en-US/ /1/mobile/4.0/android/en-US/firefox-help The important part is the "mobile", any version/OS/locale will work, as long as /mobile/ matches on the platform. No other specific in-product rewrites should head to mozilla.com, even if they match /mobile/.

Comment on attachment 496147 [details] [diff] [review] temporarily send mobile to mozilla.com We just need to remember to remove the `/ask` redirect if the document's slug gets changed to `ask`.

Hey James, it looks like the mobile friendly SUMO landing page and redirect were verified but never pushed to prod. Can you include these the 4.2.1 release tomorrow?

The desktop site redirects, correct? I've asked Shyam to update mobile.support during our push this afternoon.

I tried the link to support from the About Firefox page in Beta 3 this morning and got the regular desktop version.
