Receive new mails
Filter processes them:
move to a different Local folder
optionally mark as read (or "manually" make them read)
Account's inbox still looks as if there were unread messages and the tray icon for new message notification is also there.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

Expected Results:
Inbox to look as all messages were read.

Is it bad that there is the tray icon for new messages, even when moved out of inbox? I would want it to appear.
But I can't confirm the rest of the problem. I also have filters that move most of received messages out of inbox to subfolders of Inbox. The toplevel inbox (in the account) is not shown as unread. How is it marked as unread for you? Is it bold? Does it have the number of unread messages shown?
I remember in the past something like this used to happen, after manually reading all messages, the folder was still bold as unread. But I have not seen this lately. Can you try Thunderbird 7?

Well, after an OS change (ubuntu) and some Thunderbirds (now on 12.0.1) it seems it works fine.
