Now that our big rewrite is done, we should join AMO and the cause of cookie security and move over our staging URLs to allizom.org.
We figure it makes sense to do something like:
master.support.mozilla.com => support.allizom.org
support-stage.mozilla.com => support-release.allizom.org
In the process we can also go ahead and drop the vestigial "support-stage-new" DNS record.

Um.. not that it matters a lot, but why such a weird URL (Mozilla backwards, I get that much)? I rather enjoyed being able to just add/remove "stage" to switch between testing and prod.

It's specifically a different URL to avoid any potential stage issues polluting or affecting *.mozilla.(com|org) sites (domain issues with cookies, JS, SOP, etc).

James,
Both support.allizom.org and support-release.allizom.org are now live (along with their old URLs).
I'd like QA to verify sites works as expected and then I'll take away the mozilla.org domains. Also, SSL connections will report an error...because of the domain change. If that is a supreme concern, I will look into replacing certs with *.allizom.org certs as well.
Let me know?

Thanks, Shyam!
Please do replace with *.allizom.org certs. One of the reasons for moving to the same domain (with the same number of subdomain pieces) as AMO was so we could share certs and make it less confusing for our users to visit the staging site.

Alright, I'll look into that tomorrow. Rebecca, you might want to hold off testing until that's done, I guess...so you can give it one go and be done with it.

https://support.allizom.org is done, can be tested.
I'm moving support-release.allizom.org from the netscaler to the zeus, so all your environments will match production :) And getting the cert on there too.

This is also done.
Partay!
Rebecca, if you find serious issues during testing, please re-open this bug.

Verified support & support-release are working well [at least from what I've seen today]- will open separate issues if I find anything else.
