User report suggests that this bank needs to be evangelized to support Moz/N6 user agent strings: Operating System: Other windows me Language: English Issue Summary: unable to open secure sites. Component: PageLayout Doing What: Browing web pages Severity: Other happens always. Can Reproduce: Always Try this URL: http://ibank.barclays.co.uk Issue Detail: When I open the web page, then login, then click personal, I get a message saying (You have requested a secure document etc). When I click OK I get a message saying (Site could not be found. please check the name and try again). This is happening consistently, even with other secure web sites, but not happining when I use IE5.5 browser.
Used build: 2000120504 on WinnNT4 Sp6b I got this message, after 1 minute or more! With PSM The connection was refused when attempting to contact ibank.barclays.co.uk Seems to work well on all other browsers!

this seems to be working, but don;t have an account to test on..
Can someone with an account turn off TLS and see if that resolvs the issue?

its slow, but i can get to https://ibank.barclays.co.uk/fp/1_2l/online/1,12900,logon,00.html with 2002101708 trunk win2k
This site times out for me, but if I run a socks proxy server and connect through that it works fine. I did not think it was a mozilla problem, but since other people have experienced the same I guess it is. I am running mozilla on Debian GNU/Linux I think this is a CVS snapshot from the 1.2 branch on 2002-10-28.
page loads, but withot any images!
The page looks ok to me but I only browsed the demo pages since I don't have an account
I have the same thing with my bank http://cbbehb4.cd.citibank.be and also with the Barclays site. I've turned off TLS and am running Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 I've looked around the bug reports. It seems that the secure web server is actually the problem (although I don't consider this proven since there seems to be a whole range of web servers (Netscape, MS, IBM) showing this problem). The indicated solution was to turn off TLS, but this hasn't worked for me. If it's _really_ an issue with the bank's web server, I'm willing to send a Dutch translation of the Tech Letter.

This site has worked perfectly for me since I switched to Phoenix/Firebird in late 2002. I've never noticed any difference between the two browsers on the Barclays IBank site, so I assume this bug has long been fixed?
