openSUSE Linux rv:2.0b8 Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b8 (mozilla.org's) and rv:2.0b7 Gecko/20101105 Firefox/4.0b7 (openSUSE) (and prior betas) To reproduce: view toolbars customize drag zoom controls to right of forward icon drag reload icon to left of zoom controls icon drag home icon left of zoom controls icon drag stop icon right of reload icon drag bookmarks icon down to customize window drag search box up to right of main menu items done restart Firefox Actual results: reload icon is back in default location stop icon is missing zoom controls icon is missing search box is back right of urlbar home icon is back on right side new tab icon is missing Expected results: all items moved remain where placed
After first restart in 4.0b10, I reset to defaults, restarted again, customized, restarted again, and all customizations remained, except that the big Feedback button was restored.
Your original problem was most likely solved by https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=553395. I am going to duplicate this bug to that one.
