Tab modal prompts background doesn't look fine because of bug 619834, which probably won't be fixed in 2.0, but for this case background may be fixed by changing the syntax of gradient

I'm not sure what syntax limi was referring to, unless what he wanted to do was do a gradient without alpha or with constant alpha.

That said, another option that might work around this problem would be to use two gradients on top of each other, one with a solid color (changing only alpha) and the other with only a color change at constant alpha.  I'm not sure if the effect could be replicated that way, though.

That said, I'm not sure why the effect used in tab-modal prompts can't be done with a gradient whose alpha is constant across the gradient (changing only color).
