62477 - Deleting a block of text makes cursor jump to beginning of e-mail

When I select a block of text I just typed with shift-end and press delete while
composing a message, the cursor jumps back to the first line of the e-mail.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Mail/News
2. Create New Message/Reply to an old one
3. Type some text in the middle of the mail (it doesn't fail if you delete the
text from the replied e-mail)
4. Select a line with shift-end
5. Press delete

Actual Results:  The cursor jumped to the first line of the e-mail.

Expected Results:  The cursor should have ended up where at the postion where
the selected (and deleted text) was was before.

This will probably be fixed by the fix for bug 53610.  Adding dependency.

This bug is *not* a duplicate of bug 53610 (which is confirmedly resolved).

It is not about the caret "moving up a few pixels", but about the "caret jumping
to the beginning of the mail/composed HTML", 

thus a duplicate of bug 67847 (which is patched, but still reproducible in
nighly 2001-05-30, as it was not confirmed yet)

BTW, this bug has been around a while with quite a few _real_ duplicates:
