From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; 0.6) Gecko/20001205
BuildID: 20001205
i use the file "c:\windows\HOSTS" so i don't have to see banner ads. an example:
when i go to "http://www.mozillazine.org/build_comments/", i get an alert
windows stating: "The connection was refused when attempting to contact
www.burstnet.com".
this is annoying since the browser stops loading everything until the user
clicks OK.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
open "c:\windows\HOSTS"
add this to file:
127.0.0.1 www.burstnet.com
goto "http://www.mozillazine.org/build_comments/" or www.burstnet.com to get
alert window
Actual Results: alert window opens stating: "The connection was refused when
attempting to contact www.burstnet.com".
then you have to click OK to continue loading page.
Expected Results: ignored the refused connection like IE5 does.
Definitely not Event Handling. How about Networking?

Bug 45131 says the alert is "The host could not be resolved" while this one is
"Connection refused when attempting blah blah". However the steps to reproduce
are the same.. not sure what to do.

The reporter of bug 45131 used a different method to block the site, so it
makes sense that he got a different error.
