I want to implement user defined displaynames for personal certificates,
like "John" or "John/Red Hat" or "John's ID card".
A new button (change display-name) should be in cert manager, to manage that name.
I would like the display-names to be preferably short, with *duplicates allowed*. The display-name is targeted at humans, not machines. If a user renews a cert, he is still using the same identity, and it must be allowed to keep the same display-name.
The display-name is supposed to be used in the user interface when displaying the logged in state of the user. For example, if I'm logged in, it might be fully sufficient to say I'm logged in as "John".
Anyway, this bug is not about discussing how and when the display-names are being displayed together with login names. I'm explaining this to give you some context.
The intention of this bug is:
- implement the certificate manager user interface to assign and change
display-names of personal certificates
- enhance cert manager and viewer to show this display-name
- implement the backend in PSM to store the data
Primary key will be "issuer + serial number".

Doesn't look like this is going to happen any time soon, but feel free to reopen if you want to work on it, Kai.
