I hit this on my beta 9 machine.  Upon restart, the error went away and sync was successful.

Repro:
1) install Fx4b9 on mac: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b9) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b9
2) setup sync
3) not reproducible right now, but hit the error above.   Log attached

Expected:
- bookmarks sync, no error

Does it work when you upgrade this profile to b10? b10 contains a bunch of bookmark related fixes.

i havent hit this problem yet with beta 10, but i just installed it today.  will let it bake and report back if it reproduces.

Ok, thanks. If you haven't seen the error thus far, it's unlikely it will come up again (if you do see any errors, they will likely be new bugs).
