Details
After reading Bug 623207, I thought why isn't there a choice of views similar to how Windows Explorer offers the user a choice of views between large icons, small icons, list and details views.
Just to provide a starting point:
"Icons" = the add-on's icon and name/version
"List" = the above and the buttons as currently available in the Add-on Mgr.
"Details" = all the above, Add-on ID, most recent install or update date and be sortable on these fields like Windows Explorer is sortable.
In most, if not all these, views be able to right-click to access key options such as the add-on's options, enable/disable and see more information about the add-on.

It's not really feasible to maintain multiple views here, the amount of code complexity, tests and QA required would kill us

Haven't we gotten exactly such a proposal from Jennifer before? I can vague remember but can't find a bug. There was only the following design work:
