After reading Bug 623207, I thought why isn't there a choice of views similar to how Windows Explorer offers the user a choice of views between large icons, small icons, list and details views. Just to provide a starting point: "Icons" = the add-on's icon and name/version "List" = the above and the buttons as currently available in the Add-on Mgr. "Details" = all the above, Add-on ID, most recent install or update date and be sortable on these fields like Windows Explorer is sortable. In most, if not all these, views be able to right-click to access key options such as the add-on's options, enable/disable and see more information about the add-on.

It's not really feasible to maintain multiple views here, the amount of code complexity, tests and QA required would kill us

(In reply to comment #1) > It's not really feasible to maintain multiple views here, the amount of code > complexity, tests and QA required would kill us Haven't we gotten exactly such a proposal from Jennifer before? I can vague remember but can't find a bug. There was only the following design work: https://wiki.mozilla.org/File:Multiple_addons_in_grid23423.png
