Confirm. This is what I get when having dual monitors on and moving windows around. Note : See screenshot
having difficulties finding an exact regression range, since this issue occurs instantly and steps to reproduce are not accurate

Does it also happen with hardware acceleration disabled?
(In reply to comment #4) > Does it also happen with hardware acceleration disabled? I have what seems to be the same problem, on a multi-monitor environment, the menus fail to paint, until you move your cursor over them which produces the 'flickering' described in the original bugreport (although I run Win 7 64). The problem stops when hardware acceleration is disabled.
Ditto JELangevoort's symptoms. The two critical factors, for me, are a) hardware acceleration and b) use of the browser on the secondary (non-Windows-menu'd) monitor. It's also possible either the OS or GPU/driver needs to be in a certain range. I'm on Windows 7 with NVidia drivers v260.99 (on a GTX 460). It's important to note: this renders the browser nearly unusable. Menus aren't navigable. You can't see what you're selecting, and can't tell where you are inside the menus. They often go completely missing. And if I did not find this bug report, I would not have thought to turn off hardware acceleration (which is on, by default), nor shift the browser over to the primary monitor. Less technical users could be stymied.
This is still a problem (although not as bad) with B12 and I believe similar bug reports of flickering menus amount to a different description of the same issue. Needless to say, but 4 is unusable for me.
Anyone with the Issue please post the Content of the Graphics Section you can get via "about:support" with Hardware Acceleration enabled.

This is most likely bug 603793. Especially if you are using Aero Basic.
(In reply to comment #3) > having difficulties finding an exact regression range, since this issue occurs > instantly and steps to reproduce are not accurate This looks to me like a different bug than the disappearing menu one.
Confirmed, Bas Schouten; bug 603793 is claimed fixed in RC1, but this bug still exhibits under RC1. BTW, also, I am running under a "Windows Classic" "Basic and High Contrast" theme on Win 7, which is not an "Aero Theme". I'm unclear whether Aero is enabled or not at the moment. Below is a cut-and-paste of my about:support graphics section, for XtC4UaLL: Graphics Adapter Description NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 Vendor ID10de Device ID0e22 Adapter RAM 1024 Adapter Drivers nvd3dumx,nvwgf2umx,nvwgf2umx nvd3dum,nvwgf2um,nvwgf2um Driver Version 8.17.12.6658 Driver Date 1-7-2011 Direct2D Enabled false DirectWrite Enabled false (6.1.7600.16699, font cache 11.00 MB) WebGL Renderer Google Inc. -- ANGLE -- OpenGL ES 2.0 (ANGLE 0.0.0.541) GPU Accelerated Windows 0/1
I'm having what looks like a very similar problem (screenshot attached) - my awesomebar / search dropdown menus will go blank (but show a border still) if my Firefox window is on my second (non-primary) monitor. I'm using Windows 7 professional service pack 1.
