https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-04c8e344-bcd3-4cc6-8a1f-7629e2110128 and https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-22a13f58-abd6-4a3f-bd5a-3058b2110128
There are a few more, but seem the same to me.

Crash in same DLL from http://police.uk : https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-3a6f2298-8fea-4323-b74c-bc1c32110201
I'm using the latest ATI and NVidia (I have two cards) drivers for my O/S.

Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
How about with a new, empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile
Does the issue occur with the latest nightly? http://nightly.mozilla.org/

I've mentioned already even safe mode fails to prevent the crash.
New, empty profile in the current beta Still fails : https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-597f66e3-5cf5-4d03-89f0-ddef62110207
New profile in latest nightly also fails : https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/pending/c1663793-0bd5-47ed-acb5-f244b2110207

Still occurs in 4.0b11. The top two frames are the same, so I've not bothered with a new profile or anything : https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-4879d518-ee44-494c-b9b6-8577a2110209
At what point does the question of black listing the ATI driver (like non-NVIDA on Linux) crop up ?

It's even funnier than that: in current nightlies (b12pre) we should now have ANGLE working out of the box, so that OpenGL drivers are not used at all anymore on Windows.
Let me know if this crash still happens on current nightlies. If yes, paste here the graphics section in about:support.

A fresh install of the nightly Minefield works fine.
If I might add, it seems a bit late in the day to be doing such a major change...
Comment 12•15 years ago

We've been using ANGLE for a long time, but were relying on beta users to install the DirectX SDK runtime manually. The only recent change is that we're now shipping the relevant bits of DirectX SDK runtime.
