After some hours using the browser, the animated gif (as background or not) stops its animation. Only when a  move the mouse cursor, the animation starts. If I stop moving, the animation stops too.

::it's not always it happens. only after a great time with the browser opened

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use some hours the browser (don't know how much time)
2. Open a gif image in the firefox
Actual Results:  
Probably the gif is frozen (not always). So move the cursor to the animation start.

Expected Results:  
Gif animation don't depends on the mouve movement.

It doesn't happens when I've just turned on the computer and am using firefox in the first minutes.

Reporter, do you still see this problem when using a current version in safe mode?   http://support.mozilla.org/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
