Details
When a video element appears on a page, by default Firefox starts to cache video (even before play is hit, or autoplay being active). This can lead to a large amount of memory being used. We have seen, for example, planet.mozilla.org take 60+MB of additional RAM due to a blog entry having a video element.
We should probably not pre-cache video in Fennec, or just a very small amount.

It sounds like this is the same as bug 631058, which was duped to bug 617852.
