Build ID: Mozilla /5.0 (Android;Linux armv7l;rv:2.0b12pre) Gecko/20110203 Firefox/4.0b12pre Fennec /4.0b5pre Devices: Motorola Droid 2 (Android 2.2) Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to www.yahoo.com 2. Bring up the “Find in Page” toolbar and perform a search for “Contacts” Actual results: Characters are visible in the page context as they were entered. The entire string is visible only after tapping on the search key (magnifier glass) from the VKB. Also, after deleting the entire string the first character remains highlighted. Please see the following video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ARvkydTa8I Expected results: As you enter the string, character by character, the page scrolls along to the location of found text which is highlighted. This is the behavior on HTC Desire (Android 2.1): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwMLiw9JzYM which seems right less the issue with the first character that still remains highlighted even though in the Search field there is actually no text. Note: Also I'd like to point out that on a clean fennec profile, I load the page www.mozilla.org and I perform a search after "mozilla" term (the focus should be at the top of the page). As it can be seen from the following video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjlWCmlL3Ms , Find in Page does not return the first "mozilla" term from the page (it can be seen at the top on the page) but a "mozilla" term from a random location.

anna, can you try this again with reformat zoom on text disabled, and see record what happens then?

Anna, is this still a bug on Droid 2? I have fixed something similar a month ago or so. (I suspect the Meego case to be different)

I can only reproduce this issue: "Also, after deleting the entire string the first character remains highlighted." Build Id: Mozilla /5.0 (Android;Linux armv7l;rv:5.0a2) Gecko/20110413 Firefox/5.0a2 Fennec /5.0a2
