Normal behavior is - if I open a new tab and close it, I am brought back to the tab from which I opened the tab I just closed.
'Undo Close Tab' forgets which tab opened it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open 2 tabs - A and B.
2. From A open new tab C.
3. Focus C
4. Close C
5. Verify that A is focused
6. Execute - 'Undo Close Tab'
7. Verify that C is back
8. Focus C
9. Close C
Actual Results:  
Tab B is focused

Expected Results:  
Tab A is focused

This happens on nightly Minefield and on FF 3.6.13, both OS X

I see what you mean. You would like firefox to remember the last focused tab. 
Since it is reproducible also on the branch builds (like 3.6.13) I doubt that we should have a patch soon for this.
