User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 Firefox/3.6.13 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET4.0E) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 Firefox/3.6.13 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET4.0E) I work in a game testing company that locks internet from it's tester so we don't play around all day. We have basic access to Mozilla websites and Google. We are able to download the latest Firefox release, but not the Firefox Beta. Once on the page (which we see only in text, no images) http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/beta/ I can see the Download Firefox 4 link, but clicking it only loads the next page, where the download will not start. Right-clicking on this link and saving the link saves a link to download Firefox 3.6 instead of the proper beta. Would it be possible to have a link within Firefox's stable release which would let us download the Beta directly, something that could bypass the Internet Lock as all sites with mozilla in them do work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. On a computer with locked internet access (Access only to Google for searches and Mozilla websites) 2. Go to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/beta/. 3. Click the Download Firefox 4 Beta link. 4. Wait at the next page. 5. Notice that the page doesn't download the beta. Actual Results: The beta cannot be downloaded. Expected Results: The beta should be more easily available through the current Firefox release. We had to switch to Google Chrome on a certain game's database as Firefox wouldn't handle attaching the bugs correctly. I'm pretty sure Firefox 4 would have handled it well, I use it at home and it's one hell of a browser. I would love if it was more easily available to anyone already on the latest Firefox release. Thanks for all your hard work!
Do you have the same problem if you try to manual access this link? http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-4.0b10&os=win&lang=en-US

As I thought, Firefox 4 fixes all our database issues we had! Hurray! As for the bug itself, while I was able to download the browser using the provided manual link, perhaps this manual link should be more visible or easily accessible on the download page of the Beta ? Anyway, thanks alot, this issue can be closed if unimportant. Thanks!
It is also possible to download the beta from the ftp server, in case you were wondering.
(In reply to comment #4) > It is also possible to download the beta from the ftp server, in case you were > wondering. I just tried, I seem to have limited access to the FTP. I reached http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/ Then I clicked on 4.0b11-Candidates, which redirects me to https://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases/Firefox_4.0b11 Then if I click on the links at the bottom for Final Beta Build, I am redirected to the ftp: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/4.0b11/ , but the page will not show up as it is blocked by our company's internet block. Perhaps my knowledge of FTPs is not good enough though. Thanks for the info!

You were trying to access the ftp server via ftp, not http like above.
