+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #628651 +++

The patch on bug 628651 doesn't fix the problem I have with Flash on my older white MacBook with Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b12pre) Gecko/20110211 Firefox/4.0b12pre.

Any version of Flash installed does not work with Minefield in 64bit mode. I have to go to the Finder and switch to 32bit mode to make it work. There is no notification bar showing up in Firefox which reminds me to restart in 32bit mode.

Requesting to block Firefox 4 on it.
Probably a dupe of 610526.

Sorry, but that's not the case on my MacBook. Whether which setting I have set for dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.x86_64, Flash doesn't load. So I can hardly see a connection to bug 610526.

Henrik: the OOP part of that bug summary may be a red herring, we're investigating. Regardless, I believe Josh is right in saying that it's the same issue related somehow to the specific GFX hardware in that generation of the MBP.

Re-duping. You can re-open if it turns out that it wasn't a perfect dupe, and this will then pick up blocking.

Ok, it's a dupe. With the fix on bug 610526 it works fine now.
