Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b12pre) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b12pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b12pre) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b12pre When a piece of text is searched for, if the text is found in the page and a URL is bound to that text, then the URL "tooltip" hides the text that was found and highlighted. (Not easy to describe; see steps to reproduce.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Firefox 2. Type "/" to start a search ("/", not control-F) 3. Type "xulrunner" Actual Results: Firefox finds "xulrunner" in the page but it also shows the URL bound to the text that it finds. The problem is that the found text is on the last line of the tab, and the URL is also displayed on the last line of the tab. If the text is enough on the left, and the URL is long enough, the text is completely hidden by the URL. After waiting for a while, when the search dialog disappears, the text can be seen. Expected Results: The searched/found text should be visible. Strangely enough, the problem does not show up when starting the search with control-F: the URL is not displayed then, thus not hiding the text. This happened very often to me; most of the times I perform a search basically (I never use control-F). I couldn't find an existing bug for that issue. I can't believe I'm the first one to run into this frustrating problem.
