User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_6; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.13 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/9.0.597.102 Safari/534.13 Build Identifier: Firefox 4.0 Beta 11 I am the Senior Web Producer at FUEL TV. After playing with the lovely 4.0 Beta 11 build, I noticed that one of the shortcomings is that it doesn't handle Brightcove flash video support. We encode our videos as h.264 .movs and there is a Flash pre-roll. For players that use the prerolls, the preroll played fine. But the subsequent .mov (or player without preroll) never successfully played the video. I have Version: 10.2.154.13 installed Also, I noticed that FF 4.0 B11 broke Brightcove compatibility with the latest versions of Safari and Chrome. When I uninstalled FF and reinstalled 3.6, everything worked perfectly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to any site with Brightcove as their video platform 2. 3. Actual Results: Flash video won't play Expected Results: Play the video.
OSX 10.6

>I noticed that one of the shortcomings is that it doesn't handle Brightcove flash video support We are the browser side, we don't know anything about "Brightcove" or "pre-roll" >But the subsequent .mov (or player without preroll) never successfully >played the video Doesn't work or doesn't play is always a bad description. Do you get an error, is the video never loaded or is it black ? >I noticed that FF 4.0 B11 broke Brightcove compatibility with the latest >versions of Safari and Chrome. Firefox doesn't modify any Flash settings, the system or other browsers. >Steps to Reproduce: You should post here the exact steps to reproduce the problem in this section. Example: a) load http://www.fuel.tv b) click play on the top right video called "Featured videos". c) the video plays without issues with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0b13pre) Gecko/20110224 Firefox/4.0b13pre SeaMonkey/2.1b3pre and Shockwave Flash 10.2 r152 Do you have a Mac with the optimus (?) video hardware (combined Intel/ATI) ? Does it make a difference if you disable the hardware acceleration in Firefox4 (Edit\preferences\advanced/general ) ?
