Reproducible: Always

Matt, can you confirm this? This works for me.

Fred, this is indeed strange. This also works for me on 4.0 b12. I'd love to get more information on this so we can reproduce it.

Using the official release of Firefox 4.0.1 on a Mac, the address I get is input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback#. Submission of feedback does not work very well. Positive feedback works, negative feedback does not get submitted at all, and I was able to submit only one idea; a second one did not get transmitted.

calcraft, thank you for following up with the additional feedback. It's really appreciated that you've taken the time to continue the conversation.
The original bug that you filed (comment 0) where you were being redirected to the Firefox download page seems to be resolved. As for comment 3:
> Submission of feedback does not work very well.
Can you quantify this? Is there a preferred feature you'd like to see added or a use case that the feedback mechanism doesn't accommodate?
Please open a new bug with a feature request and a suggested solution.
> Negative feedback does not get submitted at all.
This appears to work for me on both our staging env input.stage.mozilla.com/feedback#sad and production env input.mozilla.com/feedback#sad. There is usually a window of time, 5 - 15 minutes before the new feedback shows up on the Input Feedback
If this continues to not work for you. Please open a new bug with the steps to reproduce for just this problem. If this is a true bug I'd really like to get to the bottom of it.
> I was able to submit only one idea; a second one did not get transmitted.
This also appears to be working as well. Did you try submitting the same feedback twice. The app doesn't accept dual entry of the same feedback (same with #happy/#sad) within a 5 minute window.
Again if this appears to continue to not work, please open a new bug with the steps to reproduce and I'll try to walk through the problem more closely with you.

To quantify: The happy feedback worked both times that I tried it. The sad feedback did not work. The page did not change, and I could not see any indication that any data was transmitted by looking at the lights on my router. I was able to submit one idea, but not a second, and again, I got no change in the page and no blinking of the lights on the router. I tried the idea submission several times, on two different days. I am beginning to think that the problem is with the site, since I get the same page and results whether I use the item in the Help menu, or type in the address for the submit page into the address bar. I am using Firefox 4.0.1, not a beta version.
