User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b11) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b11 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b11) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b11 The App Tabs wiki page (https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/Projects/App_Tabs) says in the first paragraph "App tabs can not be accidentally closed". I assume this means app tabs do not have an "X" button so they can't be accidentally closed by indiscriminate clicking. However, a middle-click on an app tab does close it like any other tab. This seems prone to accidental closure. Since an App Tab is something the user has decided to place semi-permanently, having to right-click on it and choose "Close Tab" won't make life much harder. They should be protected from accidental closure by middle-clicking. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right-click on a tab, select Pin as App Tab. 2. Middle-click on the app tab. Actual Results: The app tab is closed. Expected Results: Nothing happens.
This is intentional, see bug 580638 comment 53.
