Last week I got pro photos taken of an Android Phone. We should get these images back from Orange Photography by Thursday or Friday. Once we have them, can a designer remove the branding and add screen shots to the phone's screen? We plan to use these images for the press kit and Features page. 1) Remove the Verizon and Samsung branding so it looks like a generic Android phone. 2) Add screen shots to the phones image. (Once we have them, I'll assign screen shots to each one, which I will attach to this bug) - They will showcase Start page, tabbed browsing/swiping, Awesome Screen/typing, Add-ons Gallery, Sync setup page. These doctored images need to be finalized and ready to add to the press kit by Wednesday, March 9. I'll file bugs to add to press kit by Friday, March 11. Thanks!
I'll work on lining up an designer to take care of this. If you can attach the graphic assets asap, that'd be great. Thanks!
Hi Tara-- Yes I can help with this. One thing: since this is going to be for print, the screenshots (and the phone photo) need to be in high resolution (meaning 300 dpi at 100% of printed size or higher). Laura Mesa has experience getting high resolution screen shots for the FF 4 Guides if you need to ask her how to do this. :) --rhonda

Similar to last time, I will only have screen shots that I take directly from the phone per last time Rhonda and I did this. I wanted to refresh some of the images and post them all later today.
Ok. I wasn't involved last time that's why I needed to ask. Can you file a bug please for the screenshots that you need in high res please? Assuming Silver Orange helped you last time, we'll need to put it on their radar asap with a list of what they need to produce. Thanks!
I filed this bug yesterday with 4 images. Potentially 2-3 more images coming.
OK. Can you please reference the number please? I seem to have not caught it in my queue. I need to make sure that we have someone to create those screenshots since S.O. is slammed working on FF4 stuff.

Hello-- While working on the Photoshopping of the screens into the phone photos, I have been trying to keep the photos of the phones as large as I can while still keeping the screen shots clear, and not blurry. In doing so, I have had to size the photos down about 30%, so they are all smaller but still larger than letter sized. One screen image that is much smaller in resolution than the rest is the shot called "StartPage_portrait". I dont know if this was done on a iPad but if not, it would be great to get it larger so that it wont go blurry when I size it up to the phone it is going on. Thanks! --rhonda
One other question regarding layout for the screen "Onetouchbookmarking". Is this screen to go on the phone that is laying on its side horizontally? If so, where do you want the screen cropped since it is a vertical size? Also, concerning that screen, if it is to go cropped inside of a horizontally oriented phone screen, it would be best to get the screenshot in a horizontal format on an iPad so that we get more resolution. Hope that makes sense--let me know if not. :) --rhonda
Sorry for the confusion -- I was thinking that "onetouchbookmarking" would go on the vertical phone that is turned slightly to the side, so still portrait mode.

Thanks Caitlin-- For some reason, it is the same size as the previous file that was too small :( Anyway--if there is a chance to get a physically bigger, higher resolution image at some point I will be able to make the phone larger to match the rest of the images (which are all around 14" at thier largest side). For now it will just be smaller than the other phone images (8" at its largest side). Strange - I've been taking these from the Galaxy Tablet, like all the rest of the images attached in this bug.
Yes I dont know either! It is strange, because all of the other images are around anywhere from 80 to 112K or thereabouts, and this image for some reason turns out around 65k, and is not as big. Anyway, see if the 8" image works for your needs. :)
I think this looks fine until we figure out what's going on with configurations. Press team? Also what's the status of getting these links/images pushed?
Hi caitlin - I think the photo looks okay as well. We are all set for the links and images to be published.

Ok, well, I filed the bug to have Rev Guide go for RC and I know Erica is sharing the What's new in the RC blog post, so we may want to get those up.
Hey Caitlin - We did not put up new screen shots for the desktop RC - we just put up the Rev Guide. I checked in with Laura Forrest who let me know that given resources, we probably will not be able to get the images up in time for the RC launch. Let's stick to desktop!
Ok, just the rev guide is fine and I assume the What's New video sense it will be up on the videos page. Thanks for checking.
