1) I found this reported in the mozilla.support.firefox newsgroup: Subject: Java applets do not work second time with Firefox 3.6.14 Date: Wed, 2 Mar 2011 16:42:22 -0800 (PST) Reporter said that the same problem occurs using Java 6 Update 23. 2) about:plugins shows that besides the Mozilla Default Plug-in, the only plugins enabled are: Java Deployment Toolkit 6.0.240.7 File: D:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\new_plugin\npdeployJava1.dll Version: 6.0.240.7 NPRuntime Script Plug-in Library for Java(TM) Deploy Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U24 File: D:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\new_plugin\npjp2.dll Version: 6.0.240.7 Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_24 for Mozilla browsers
I have had this problem too and also confirmed it with a colleague who has just updated to 3.6.14
