Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b12) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b12
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b12) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b12

If I have Firefox launched and I plug an external display, it becomes invisible. The Windows task bar is still displaying Firefox, but it's in no way visible.
The only option is to right click on the task bar and select "close" and restart Firefox.
This behaviour is similar when unpluging a display.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Firefox
2. Either plug in or plug out an external screen
Actual Results:
That's it, Firefox is there but not visible.

Expected Results:
Firefox is there but is also visible.

I have hardware acceleration ON and my hardware is:
Intel X4500HD (GM45) with WinXP driver version 6.14.10.5294
The bug does not exist when hardware acceleration is disabled in the Options menu of Firefox.
