going to www.mozillazine.org and selecting the "read more" link (near the top of
the page) leads to three identical entries in history. The back button does not
work as expected leading to more identical entries in the history.

This is weird! I can confirm this, I have to click an additional 2-5 on the back
button in order to come to the MozillaZine start page. Build: 64183.
Marking NEW.

Håkan: Seems you pasted bug # instead of build ID.
WFM on linux 2001-010221 as well, but i had page cached when testing.
A similar bug (wfm) was 62201, where cache effect was commented about.
In bug 48501 "Back button filled with multiple history data", mozillazine is
later commented about as intermittantly showing the bug. This one may be a dup.

You know, I saw this a day or two ago with a recent build. I don't recall what
build ID it was or what site. I was browsing along normally and noticed the
duplicates when I opened the Go menu to leave the site I was on. I don't believe
I used the back button on that site at all.
This is on NT4sp6a. The build was from around two days ago.
marking as dup of bug 60946 about same site:
"Page added several times to history due to document.write()"
