Tried in firefox via m.youtube.com as well - it does not work
YouTube uses Flash to play videos by default. Flash for Android is not yet compatible with non-WebKit browsers, like Firefox. This is bug 630007. If you enable YouTube's HTML5 beta, then Firefox will be able to play YouTube videos that are available in the WebM format: http://www.youtube.com/html5 You can also use this add-on to open YouTube pages in the Android YouTube app (this feature will be built in to a future version of Firefox): https://addons.mozilla.org/mobile/addon/helper-apps/
