When I set up to display the icons button "OK" is no longer pressed. I went through the force quit. Then when I opened the browser - there was no control.

Can you please give us exact steps? Is that reproducible for you? Also which version of Firefox are you using?
Firefox 4.0 RC (RUS)

Repeat the mistake I no longer possible.

1. Open windows for toolbas settings
2. Force quit forefox from process list.
