User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 An actual closed tab is restored. It seems firefox crashes when closing and session restore does not store information immediately after closing a tab. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. A tab is opened 2. Open blank tab 3. Immediately after 2. step now close other tab (1. step) 4. Immediately aber 3. step now close firefox 5. Open firefox Actual Results: Now different things may happen: a) Actual closed tab (from 1) is restored b) Session restore failure, firefox ask to restore old session with actual closed tab (from 1) c) Firefox starts correct (blank tab, correct last session) Expected Results: See above, c) is expected, firefox starts correct with the blank tab. a) or b) often happens, when steps 2), 3) and 4) are done one after another very fast (2 seconds for all 3 steps).

Could you see if the issue occurs if using Firefox in safe mode: http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode How about with a new, empty testing profile? (Don't install any addons into it) http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile

I open 2 tabs, while firefox is in safe mode. I close one tab and immediately close firefox. Then I restart firefox in _normal_ mode: actual closed tab is restored. Reproducible: allways. I open 2 tabs, while firefox is in safe mode. I close one tab and immediately restarts firefox in safe mode. Session restored correct (seems to be allways). I manually deactivated WebDeveloper and AdBlock Plugin. Same problem. So I created a new profile and activated session restore. Now the problem seemed to be solved. I installed AdBlock and WebDeveloper like before, problem not appeared again since then. Seems the profile was damaged. Maybe in future I can find out what caused the fault. Thanks.
